Time to stir up something Magical
Please note that Kitchen Wands is located in British Columbia, Canada and all prices are posted in Canadian dollars.
For me the starting point was Mickey Mouse in Fantasia, so wanting to move it up a notch. In the Sorcerer’s Apprentice he wants to “be the magician” and it goes a little awry. Sound familiar?
The sparkles represent the energy around us all, the magic of the Universe. Our job is to connect with that energy so we can fulfill our part, the stirring.
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines stir as ” to mix (something) by making circular movements in it with a spoon or similar object “.
Within the context of this Kitchen Wand though, I would suggest some additional pieces of the puzzle are:
1. to rouse to activity : to begin to move
2. to call forth : evoke
3. to bring into notice
Any Kitchen Witch worth her/his salt and spices, also knows that time is an integral part of creating magic. Time spent learning and practicing a Craft, time spent gathering ingredients and time spent in a kitchen creating health filled memories for family and friends.
A recent report ( Real Bread Campaign ) has suggested that baking can also help with mental health issues. If you are stressed by all the running around that happens in life there is a potential remedy.
Whether you are feeling like the apprentice or the magician, I invite you to put aside some time, allow your energies to stir and share a little of your own creative culinary magic with someone else.
Each individually handcrafted 13 inch beech wood spoon comes via a protected, managed forest in Europe. Once in Canada, they are charmed with a laser engraver and dipped in a bath of grape seed oil and melted beeswax which brings out the grain and deepens the tone of the wood. Washing in warm water, by hand, and the occasional wipe with a food safe oil will help extend the life of a Kitchen Wand. The image is burned into the wood and will not “come off”. Over time though, as the patina of use develops, the image and the engraving on the handle “My Kitchen Wand” may soften.
The description of this design is easily accessible to customers through an information only webpage on the Kitchen Wand tag.
